The evolution of tank cleaning continues at Re-Gen Robotics
Since taking delivery of our second large robot and tanker early this year, this is the first time our two systems have been together.
But like ‘road’ ships passing in the night, they briefly crossed each other’s paths in Leeds, before leaving for their next tank cleaning contracts.
The sector is now embracing automated, explosion proof robotic tank cleaning, as the long-awaited alternative to ‘man entry’ cleaning and over the last year we have had the pleasure of working with some of the benchmark oil majors.
These industry leaders are committed to enhancing safety and productivity in their operations and will no longer tolerate commissioning manned crews, to clean tanks in environments that are too hazardous to be undertaken by field personnel.
By sending our revolutionary robots into dangerous confined spaces, they are not only eliminating the dangers and liabilities associated with confined space entry but are also saving time, money and reducing operational downtime for their tanks.
To date we have invested over £3 million in creating three purpose-built, explosion proof robots, designed to operate in the most inhospitable environments and we have a number of innovative and exciting NPD projects currently at design phase, which will be ready for implementation in Q1 2021.
These designs are based on existing and evolving customer needs, where our new technology can bring them the highest returns, as well as provide competitive advantage.
