EEMUA

EEMUA – The Engineering Equipment and Material Users Association

EEMUA was founded in 1949 by major industrial players, with a vision of working together to establish standards in areas such as equipment and materials selection and specification, and engineering plant construction, and so drive good practice wider into industry.

EEMUA membership now spans many sectors including companies that manage process and power plants, utilities, offshore platforms, storage terminals and other industrial facilities throughout the world. The Association’s technical activities cover the full scope of industrial asset management as an internationally recognised source of expertise and information for the engineering industry.

EEMUA plays a pivotal role in ensuring members’ physical assets and user requirements are in the best shape to contribute significantly to their companies. As a result, EEMUA focusses its efforts on the most critical issues.

TSA

TSA – Tank Storage Association

The Tank Storage Association is the trade association representing the interests of companies engaged in the storage of bulk liquids and the provision of products and services to the sector. Our members provide and support an essential interface between sea, road, rail, and pipeline logistics for a diverse range of essential products, including transport and heating fuels, chemicals, animal feed and foodstuffs.

We work collaboratively with our members through several dedicated committees covering key areas relating to health, safety, and the environment, as well as technical issues, skills, sustainability and the energy transition, human factors and communications. The work of our committees is central to our mission to champion the UK’s bulk storage and energy infrastructure industry.

NEPIC

NEPIC – North East Process Industry Cluster

At NEPIC we support the needs and interests of the chemical-processing sector in the North East of England. We exist to ensure industry in this region thrives – and that there are investments, innovations and a network that have the potential to create jobs and opportunities long into the future.

ISO 14001 – Environmental Management

The international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). It provides a framework that an organisation can follow, rather than establishing environmental performance requirements.

ISO 45001

ISO 45001 – Health & Safety

An international standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety management system. It provides a framework for organisations to manage risks and improve H&S performance.

The standard establishes criteria for an H&S policy, objectives, planning, implementation, operation, auditing and review. Key elements include leadership commitment, worker participation, hazard identification and risk assessment, legal and regulatory compliance, emergency planning, incident investigation and continual improvement.
